Facades
Otherwise known as ‘rainscreen cladding’ or ‘dry cladding’, a ventilated facade is a dry-installed exterior building envelope system whereby a cavity exists between the outer facade material and the structural wall behind it.
Natural stone protects the building from the elements while offering excellent thermal insulation and reducing the structure's energy footprint. The space between its perimeter wall and the exterior cladding reduces indoor temperatures by cleverly regulating the air using the ‘chimney effect’. In winter, on the other hand, it keeps the heat in and combats humidity.
Natural stone ventilated facades require in-depth knowledge of construction techniques. We provide bespoke solutions from the procurement of natural stone to the engineering and installation of ventilated façade systems.
